Philippine passport for baby

It appears from the instructions that we can apply for my 16 month old son's passport via mail to the consulate in San Francisco by submitting the application along with the Report of Birth and required supporting documents. Is this right or do we have to file Report of Birth first and then wait until they approve it before we can apply for his passport?

Also, it is unclear from the instructions whether we need to send my wife's origiinal passport with the application and report of birth or if we can send a notarized photocopy of the data page.

Also, where would we go to get a passport photo taken with a royal blue background per the form instructions? Passport photos taken here usually have a white background.

My 10 months old now son was born in the Philippines and he's got his CRBA done. When i submitted his application for his passport I sent my original passport to the Embassy .

I just renewed my Philippine Passport in Washington DC and got my royal blue background photos at Bern's studio here in Georgia.

The woman from The Philippine embassy whom i heared talking to another on the phone told her that she can have a photo taken at any phto studio and she just have to buy a royal blue background cartolina and use it as the background. Tell yur wife to call the Phil.embassy where you are nearest to.

I used photoshop, masked the portait, and then changed the background to royal blue for a friend or ours. She renewed her passport in Chicago.

From what I've been reading on the embassy and consultate sites, it's confusing whether or not I can mail in the passport application with the Report of Birth. Some places on the websites indicate that the parent has to bring the child to the consulate. Others say that a minor child does not need to be personally presented if they are under 8 years of age.

Has anyone applied for a new machine readable passport for their baby while here in the US? If so, can you advise whether you were able to do so by mail or if you had to go to the consulate or embassy?

Very interesting... what part of felony do you not understand?

You modified a government document and falsely submitted it to a foreign government...

Please let me know the law that allows you to alter a photo for governmental submission? Last I checked no citizen has the authority in any way, shape or form to do this....

You better pray to God its never discovered. If so, the passport is invalid and your friend is in prison. And if they happen to say your name you will be there next to them.... for a long, long time...

As I understand it, filipino prisons are not very nice....

Hi! You can not submit your infant son's passport application by mail. A parent or representative of the baby has to go to the Philippine Embassy in person. We also wanted to apply a passport for our infant son by mail but they said they do not allow it anymore.

You can only send the application for Report of Birth by mail but not the Passport Application! Goodluck! :star:
