Does anyone know: After getting approved at the embassy, how long does it take to get your visa?

Can you pick up the visa at the embassy the next day?

Can you have it delivered to your hotel instead of having mailed to the beneficiary's address?

The reason I ask is, it is quite a trip to Rio from Fortaleza, and if you can pick up the visa the next day at the embassy that would save a trip back to Fortaleza, or if it can be delivered to the hotel in Rio the next day.....

According to the US Embassy Brazil website, you cannot pick up your passport at the embassy. It will be delivered to your residence.

Immigration Process (DCF Japan)

08/06/2008 I-130 petition at Tokyo, Japan

08/13/2008 I-130 approved

| Waited until we were ready to move back

07/13/2009 IV interview at Tokyo, Japan

07/15/2009 IV(IR-1) in hand

Post-DCF

07/29/2009 POE at Las Vegas

08/17/2009 GC(10yrs) received

It took only a few days to go from Rio to Itu in SP. You'll have to ask at the interview to see if they can send it to the hotel, but I think you fill out the shipping information so it is probably up to you.
