well i had a problem with their website....i registered my father (IR5) for 3 consecutive days online. I thought everything was doing fine so we scheduled him to fly here in the US right after. when the time has come for him to take the seminar, the people in DFA told him that they haven't received any registration from him and that they do not have any available slot for him at that day. they also told him the next schedule available is the day of his flight.

i think the PDOS website is not reliable for registering new immigrants. first, it looks like they never update their website. they should because a lot of people around the world are now relying to computer mediated communication. also, if we register online, we should get a response from them the slot we want is not available and that we should make another appointment or registration. from the time i registered my father, i did not receive any email or response from them. I assumed that they have receive it, and everything was fine since i did not get any response....well i guess there's my lesson...

i also don't see any reason for taking PDOS except for the fact that it is only one of their ways to corrupt people. It is not worth it since the new US immigrants will be oriented again by the family members who's been living in the US. for the people who do not have any families abroad, maybe friends or fellow employees could do it. it is not that hard. I'm not saying this because i am disappointed. im saying it because of the fact that you'll go there and pay P400 and they'll give you a sticker back for your ATTENDANCE. isn't like a preschooler that you'll get a reward for behaving perfectly?

But ~dana~ going back to your question, it is required. Immigration looks for that stamp at the airport. They checked Trisha's when we flew to the US. Now the merits of the training is another discussion. Rather than fight it we just complied. In our case they gave Trisha a grilling and asked for for info. She had to make a second visit.

Love forever,
