Hi,

I need to fill the DS-156 form before the interview in Paris(France) for the K-1 Fiance Visa.

On the question "30. Have you ever been issued a U.S. visa ?", I have to say "YES" because I got a student visa 5 years ago.

But, I don't remember when it was delivered, and what type of student visa it was.

The DS-156 form is an online form, so I'm forced to fill the fields.

What do you suggest me to do ?

Do you think I can fill something probably wrong, and explain it when I'll be at the interview ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Bertrand.

My recommendation put your brain to work and try to remember that information for putting it there, if you don't put anything the CO would think that you want to hide something and it can be a denial for you.

Do you have a new passport now? If yes, go to check the passport and you will find the info printed on the visa.

It's five years ago. So I seriously can't remember that. And of course I prefer to put something wrong but on the same year, than nothing.

Yes I have a new one, the former one which contained the student visa has been destroyed/kept by the administration.

What do you mean by "check the passport" ?

Is there an online service where you can get the information of a former passport ?

Thank you for your help.
