Well, now it's been about 6 and a half month's of waiting on my I 130. Tusday I called and the lady put in a "service request" and today I got an E/mail stating it was recieved and my case is under further review. You will here something in 60 days---yadda, yadda, yadda. Of course the date online still shows Oct.20 2008. EEERRR. I guess the E-mail is a generic answer to the service request that shows it is still in some lazy workers "to do bin" that they'll get to whenever they're good and ready for it? Or does it mean it has actually been looked at? I seem to believe the first because the date of Oct. 20th has not been changed. Therefore no touches.

Similarily, I also put in an I 129F petition. Since that is just short of 6 month's I am wondering if me having filed that actually prolongs the I-130. Will be returning to the States Monday and I guess the next step is to write to my congressman. Then put in another service request for my I-129F right after it hits 6 month's. Sound like the right path's?

Most likely the I-129F did slow down your I-130 Many ,many VJer's regret filing the I-129F,only slowed them down as many have stated. Hang in there, maybe service request will do something soon . Good luck

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
