Well... im a bit confused.. im looking at my tax returns for 2006, 2007, and 2008.

For 2008 my husband and I filed married (jointly)... however, for 2006 and 2007 we filed married(filing seperate) because of financial aid purposes.

How much do you think this will effect uscis???i have read many post's that people say they filed just married.

soo..

2005 and 2008 Married

2006 and 2007 Married(filing seperate)

Not a problem. Married and married filing separate are still differing and valid classifications for a married couple. It would only be a problem if you filed as a single when you were in fact married.

Thanks for the quick reply, my cousin is going through the same process and i am.. we filed are i-751 around the same time... and we were a little werid about that....

But her situation is a little different she filed one of the year's single.. because that's what her tax consultant advise her.. i dont know why, but he did. I pretty much told her to file an amdenment and attach that to her taxes!
