Hi all,

I had my VAWA petition approved in May 2006 followed by the interview in September 2006. After the interview the officer told me that I would receive the answer in the mail in a few weeks. I haven't received anything yet. Everytime i check the status on my case i get the same answer "it is under further review or in background check"...I dont know what to think at this time, it's been almost 3 years since i was approved and no green card...Did anybody experienced something like this in a VAWA case? Is there anything to do but wait?

Thanks,

Ella.

Hi--

I dont mean to scare you at all this is may case history and I am sure yous will be different.

At the interviw the officer didn't ask me anything pertinent to the case. Just Whats my name, social security, where I live and he asked me to sign a paper to confirm I was at the interview. All in 5 minutes and I had my layer with me, but it didn't make a difference.

Hope that helps!

Good luck to you too...
