Applying for K1-Visa from the UK?????

He my name is Tara and im from America, my Fiance is Rob and he's from the UK, we are about to file for the K-1 Visa so he can come to America and marry me.

I plan on flying out to see him next week and want to spend as much time with him as possible until the K1 Visa process is complete, so my question is.....

Can i fly over to the UK next week and stay with him and then whilst im over there file the K1 Visa from the UK? or do i have to file for it from America before i go out and visit him?'

Any help would be very much appreciated.

you should file it before you go, because you have to collect everything from here

Will someone in the US be able to forward any mail about your case to you in the UK?

You will need your NOA2, any RFE as needed, and so on.

Also - will you be working? You will have to show you can support him. (unless, of course, you have a co-sponsor)

Yes someone will be able to forward any mail to the UK, thats no problem.

But no i wont be working because i will be in the UK, although when i go back to America (which will probably be about 2 months before him) i will be able to land a job pretty much straight away, will this be ok? as long as i have a job before he comes over to America to marry me? or do i have to be employed from the start of filling the K1-Visa?
