Hello to all visajourney goers here! I hope you are all doing great!

I hope I pass the interview. Sa mga wives din dyan na nag apply ng work like me. Wag tayo mawalan ng pag asa... dadating din ang para sa atin!

i did a bunch online test too as in a bunch!!! hehehe... 25-45 minutes ka nakababad to answer their personality test to think you're only applying for a gorcery clerk or whatsoever... last yr, i decided to finally apply for a job (aside from helping my hubby on our previous business). sabi ko kaya ko mag isa heheh... maryusep online test pa lang drain na utak mo sa kakasagot heheh... its easier to get a job early last yr... offered me better pay too... pero ngayun wala talagang tumatawag sa akin for interview (meron isa pero minimum pay tsaka part time at medyo may kalayuan)... sabi ko hapan uli ako ng mas better... gusto ko kasi if i got a job gusto ko yung long-term hindi panandalian...

so happy for you that they called you for an interview... that means nag sta-standout ka sa kanila!!! pray ka lang kaya mo yan!!!

CONGRATS!!! God bless sa yo!

Salamat ha! oo sobra talaga ang mga online test nila. I applied every position na available.. sabi ni hubby it doesn't matter. It doesn't cost anything to apply so go! kahit wala akong experience go! hahahaha... I received an email from citibank telling me i passed their online test and will call me soon, I applied as a teller, customer service, receptionist, warehouse, sewing machine sales clerk, clerk, kahit ano nalang na available. I don't care about much sa salary as long as I have a job then I can start moving up from there. I know na foreign ako dito sa USA and starting will always be hard para sa tin. My major was nursing but i didn't pursue it as a career.

Lahat check ko sa time availability.. work on weekend, holidays, long hours etc.. etc... starting pay ko always minimum.

By the way I live in Fremont, CA.. I applied only in around Fremont, Newark and Union City. Kasi i dont have a drivers license yet.. permit palang. So i will take a bus or taxi if i have to. I am happy because my husband is supporting me with everything.

Advice ko lang sa mga nag apply. Wag masyado chosy at always always make sure you are available and flexible anytime. Don't ask for too much salary muna.

i know thats me a bit choosy... heheh... but to think $7.26/hr for less than 20 hrs/week doesnt really compensate my gas... i work as a cashier before sa ace hardware 8.50/hr ok sya kahit 8 hrs standing on one spot kasi full time 40hrs/week plus lapit lng... i know wala akong experience dito sa US kaya nga hanggang sales assoc lng ako or cashier etc i dont mind pero pag hindi naman ok sa gas tas oras na ibinibigay nila, wala rin...

citibank is a good company and has benefits so GO ka don

Saang state ka? kasi ang minimum dito sa California required by law is $8 per hour. So any less than that e illegal na, you can sue them. Good luck sa ating lahat dito! :D

im here in colorado (northern part) P7.26 is our minimum wage... sana $8 nalang kasi ok na yun... actually depende kasi sa cost of living mo by state... tas crisis pa so they will take advantage sa mga tao na walang trabaho... buti kapa pwede kang mag bike. ako 6-10 miles usually ang distance for me to go to work. ok yun kasi hindi winter... i bet when winter comes, my DL kana... sabi nga ni hubby getting an interview even though you dont get the job is an experience na rin kasi mapra-practice mo yung face-to-face interaction tsaka usual questions nila... i really wish you luck coz i know how hard to find work nowadays. esp w/ no experience like me hehehe. kung kaya nila aba kaya rin natin noh! ahaha... good luck again

its not really hard to find a job as long as your doing something like applying online or whatever because they will really call you for interview...and as long as you wont be picky...because the more picky you are the lesser job you can get or you cant even find one.

And if companies will really require experience or reference then just apply first in some beginner position jobs. I have a job now even i dont have work experience in PI or USA and reference. Nothing to worry for those new immigrants who dont have work experience and reference coz you can still have a job here usa.

God bless you.

You don't need work experience to get a job in USA, Even Nurses from PI get jobs in USA without work expereince.

In USA you can go to school for 1 year and become a LVN Nurse.

You can go to a Community College and get a 2 year Associate Degree in Nursing and sit for NCLEX to become a RN.

Another good option is to become a Dental Hygenist, It only requires 2 years of schooling and pays about the same as a RN

Average starting salary for a RN or Dental Hygenist with no experience is $21 to $30 per hour, depending on which part of the country you work.....
