Did you add in that packet the information about your ex-wife in current time? Her current address and phone number, her job,.. If not, you should prepare for your fiance when she go to her interview.

I did not discuss ex in timeline other than when divorces were finalized... I mentioned in intent to marry that I had included divorce decree and copies of bank statements showing current addresses of each to document that we had moved on as individuals.... I dont think USCIS will have any issue with the ex, but with it in there when USCIS approves the pkg. it should quiet HCMC...

I have no idea what they will ask your fiance in her interview, but some other girls got the requirement of CO about ex-wife information. We have forum on webtretho.com by Vietnamese, where I can talk to many other beneficiaries, they told me this.

Thuy is familiar with ex's location, reason for divorce.. name, dates of marriage and divorce... should be enough.. ya think?

I will give her that link as it may help her to be more comfortable if she understands the process better...

Thanks

For more clearly, you should paste to her this link: http://www.webtretho.com/forum/showthread....585#post7359585, it's the topic about fiance visa.

We discuss in Vietnamese, she can have many information for reference before interview.

Scott,

From what I have seen in the past and couple of my friends, 9 out of 10, the CO will definitely need a letter from your ex-wife saying that she's not living with you (make sure notorize it). You might get lucky but who knows. Just be prepare, so when the CO asks your fiance, she can present it to the CO. As always, wish you two the best.

I wish it was as easy as asking ex for it.. but not in contact with her and can't bring her into the situation... I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that having it mentioned in the original 129F pkg along with copies of bank stmt with addresses of her and I apart will be enough... whne the pkg gets to HCMC... I will see if I can get notarized stmt from 3rd parties that know both of us .. stating they swear we live apart and are through...
