Ok, so this is my case: I had my interview on April 15, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Everything went well. Interview lasted for about 5 minutes. She just asked us for our Son's birth certificate. Well, before that, we had to take the oath. Then, asked me for my address, how did I come to the U.S., where do we live. And, then, our Son's Birth Certificate. It was very brief. Then she got in her computer, and she was typing something. And she told me, "Congratulations!!" I thought she was referring to our newborn, but then she gave me a letter saying that I am approve and Welcome. Then, she verbally told me that I will be receiving my g.c. in two weeks.

So, I don't know if I am freaking out, but in USCIS website the last update is since January 2, 2009 when they received my RFE.

I am afraid that she didn't input it in the system.

Any advice or personal experience?

Oh, and I haven't receive anything in the mail such as a welcome letter.

She did say to wait 2 weeks.

wait for that to happen - then worry :)

Oh - USCIS doesn't update in a timely manner - in fact - there are couples here - now both citizens - and their K-1 status is still pending...

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Thank you. I was just freaking out because I was reading cases here in VJ were the case does not get updated and officer says that their approve, but they don't receive anything.... then, they had to go through a long procedure to re-open the case.

Thank you. You put me at peace in mind. :)

Best Wishes.

:D Okay, so I got my approval letters today (April 23, 2009). And my Welcome Letter today. And still no updates on USCIS website since they received RFE in Jan. 2, 2009.

So, don't really really on USCIS updates or touches. My I-130 up to this date still doesn't show on their system and I got the approval letter. I-485 case is still pending on their site and I got the approval.
