EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.

Armywife is right. It is not child support but Affidavit of support for your fiancee to assure the US government that your child and you will not be a public burden here.Yes all applicants had to submit this form. Form can be found at the uscis forms and it is free.

Ok, let me clear tjis up, I am the petitioner, and I have kids from a previous marriage, I am the US citizen, my fiancee is in Phils, and she said her friend told her that at the interview they asked her for a notarized affidavit of support for the child. I already sent her the I-134 and included the kids on there and I still make well over even the 125% even though I only need 100%, i WAS JUST WONDERING WHY THEY WOULD ASK FOR PROOF OF CHILD SUPPORT.

If your fiancee is not asked of that document then why worry? Different cases demand different documents to be submitted. So are you talking about proof of child support for your child in your previous marriage? If you already sent the I-134 (for you and your fiancee's child) then that is what the affidavit of support we are talking about here, unless the embassy wants you to send the proof that you are giving child support to your children of previous marriage which am thinking what her friend told her. My husband sent an I 134 for me and also asked proof that he is giving child support to his 13 yr. old daughter in his previous marriageCorrect me if am wrong people.
