I think other people will be better placed than me to answer your 1st question, but the 2nd one I can help with because I too have a nut (and pea!) allergy and I had my medical the other day....well I wrote it on the questionnaire you bring along and also the other one they make you do there. I was asked questions about it but I think as long as it is under control you should be ok (I told her about antihistamines/epipen I always carry etc.) I also took letters from my testing (years ago) but wasn't asked for them - but I would say take them just in case. Although I don't yet have my visa and therefore proof this is all ok, it seems at the medical like they thought it wouldn't be a problem! It's not contagious or makes you a danger to others and I think those are what they mainly worry about. Hope that helps!

a medical is designed to uncover visa ineligibilities... a nut allergy is not one..

If you want to know what could be possible... google "visa ineligibilities"

YMMV

dont worry go to the medical they will determine what you need, i did that.. went to my medical without any immunisation records they worked out what i needed and gave me a letter to speak to my gp, i had them done free of charge at my surgery, the surgery sent the forms back knightsbridge doctors and that was it..
