AOS for K-4 Vis Holder -- Payment

Hi,

I would like to verify if the payment I enclosed for my 7 y.o. daughter's AOS was correct. I paid $600.00. I have not received any NOA yet since I submitted it last Feb 27. I was not able to submit it together with my packet because I had to wait for some documents which (I think) is significant to her AOS packet. Until now, no news from USCIS. Is 600dollars right?

The rules say "If filed together with the K-3 AOS". Strictly speaking, no. The correct fee is $930. (7 year olds don't pay biomtric fee) but I do not know if they will say "close enough for government work" I doubt it.

In I-485 instructions page 8, it says "The fee for a child under the age of 14 years of age will be $600.00 when submitted concurrently for adjustment with the application of a parent under section 201....".

If the government's definition of "concurrently" is not the same as "together with" then you will be fine. If not, you will receive the package back in the mail with your check and an instruction to re-file with the correct fee.

If you have delivery confirmation, and they cash your check within a few days, you win. If the check doesn't go through your bank, but you have confirmed the received the package, you will be getting it back.
