Lung X Rays

Hi Guys,

We just got Packet 4 and are going to make the appt for the X-rays and blood test. I am just wondering if I have anything to worry about, or if I am just being paranoid: My fiance is a heavy smoker who has been struggling to quit for 2 years--he IS down to half a pack from 2 packs a day but is still very hooked.

I have seen old lung X-rays of his and know that he has some marks on his lungs from the smoking. Is there reason to be worried about this in terms of the medical for the visa?

Any help is appreciated.

Sorry, I wouldn't know. The lab sends the x-rays to the doctor handling the medical and it's up to him/her to approve it. But my dad was a very heavy smoker and never had a problem with his medical when he went for his visa, of course this was back in the early 80s so I don't know if things have changed.

As side note, she doesn't have to make an appointment of her lab work and x-rays. She just needs to be there between 6:30-7 a.m. to avoid the long lines and they'll take her in.
