Chadlaure...you're next! (again).. but this will be the ceremony part for you right?

And then,.... ME!!!!!!! :dancing:

9 more days to move .....

Edit:

Tim told me that some of his friends have received the wedding invitations. He did them up so uniquely and they've commented on how much they liked reading that. I'll have to get him to email me the verse again and post it in case anyone missed it. (or you can look back many, many pages and find it...) It's seeming so real now that the invitation are in the mail and getting received!!

We did it!! :)

Hello from warm and sunny Florida! Despite a thunderstorm 20 minutes before the ceremony was about to start, everything was perfect! The clouds cleared and the sun came out just in time. I'll be sure to post some pictures when I get them.

July- Can't wait to look at your pictures when I get some time! Hope you had a great time in Hawaii!

Congratulations, Huggles!!! Kind of a "funny" feeling isn't it... to be married to this person you've been through so much with! LOL At least, that's still the joke we're running around our house!

Thank you, to everyone for your kind words regarding our wedding photos. :) It is nice to know that others think things look nice, too... and that it's not all in my imagination. LOLOL :P

Take care!

Yes it will be the ceremony+reception with family and friends.

We got "legally" married to file AOS sooner.

Big party is on Sept 5th., although we're not quite ready with the ceremony yet... Well we still have a few weeks

Thanks everyone!

I had a chance to look at some of those pictures July and I love your dress! The train is so unique!

I have no idea how our pictures are going to turn out. I was crying through a good 75% of the ceremony, and we were both crying through our first dance. Its so weird... I NEVER cry and I didn't think I would but its such an emotional event you just can't help yourself!

Its so weird referring to Bill as my husband! And me as Mrs. Walter... Its definitely an adjustment, but a very good one.

Hey all,

I haven't seen this subject at all in the "weding details" thread. Forgive me if I missed it...

How do you all deal(or dealt) with the whole meeting with the minister/pastor/priest before the wedding day? For some of you that live far away, how did you do it? The place we're looking at (United Methodist) requires us to visit 6 months before we get married. I was looking at end of February, which is about 6 months away now. So we'd be on the line.

Another thing. My fiance & I are not entirely religious. I'm not gonna go into what I do/don't believe in, but let's just say we don't attend church on a weekly basis. I was brought up Catholic, but I don't "practice".

Reason for getting married in a church...my mom. I mean, it IS nice & all, don't get me wrong. But it would be for her...which is a big deal for her.

Do I just suck it up & meet up with them whenever we're available? Or is there another option?

Thanks

You sound exactly like me, I was born and raised catholic but well lets just say I am Christian, my fiance feels the same way but not brought up Catholic. We met with our pastor in March/April of this year, the last time I visited. We explained the situation and the pastor was able to accomodate 2 premarital sessions with us while I was there for 2 weeks. The last one we are supposed to do when I arrive in September. Our church did not have a requirement of meeting 6 months in advance though, just 3 premarital sessions, not classes. Neither of us knew this pastor very well, and we had never been to a service performed by him, because my fiance had just moved to the area a few months earlier. We went on a hope and a prayer that he would "click" with us. United Methodist is also what we went with. It was kind of an awkward topic about affiliation when asked by the pastor, but we were honest and I think thats all that matters.

OMG 60 DAYS!!! AHHHH!! Still so much to do!

I am going to be an utter mess during the ceremony. I keep reading over the ceremony that the pastor emailed to us and I break down crying when it comes time to read the vows. Even the scripture makes me tear up! I told my fiance about how I will be crying most likely, and he's like well sheesh if you really don't want to marry me, you don't have to...and does his whole impression of a baby crying.... (He does alot of cute impressions) I love his sarcasm somedays!:lol:

So does anyone have issues with the guest list? Like your family wants so and so invited that you don't? I have a few cousins that I cannot STAND and don't want them at my wedding, but my Dad really wants me to invite them to be nice.... I doubt they'd come as they live far away, but it's the principle of inviting them.

I had to reign my mom in.. it seemed like she wanted to invite everybody she knew.. I wanted to keep the reception small though and limited her to 4 couples.. I didn't want a bunch of people there that I didn't know at all or very well..
