how to extend NOA2 (example May 20, 2009 to March 2010)?

Hi everyone!

gonna need your advice here...I was thinking of extending the NOA2 to next year, like after we receive NOA2 (stil waiting) we will continue processing it like March 2010 in time for vacation.

I'm thinking of going back to my old job overseas and i can only continue working on the K1 on my vacation (after 1 year). I read some threads about noa2 extension for 4 months..

im not sure if i understood it right...IF we receive noa2 for example on May 20, 2009, it it valid till sept 20, 2009 right? then we file an extension so it is valid again till january 20 2010...hmmm...i dunno how am gonna continue...since we might be around europe, dunno what country we'll be..or when...aaahhh! wish i can make a definite schedule....

can anyone help us with this...?

I've never heard of anyone extending it a year! I suppose you could email the Consulate/Embassy and ask them if you could do that, however I doubt they'd let it go a year. Especially since so many things could change. I think you're just going to have to refile. If you're both going to be travelling throughout the next year, why not just get married during your travels and reapply under another visa when you both decide you want to come live in the US?

thank u!!!I will try calling uscis or consulate...butvwhich of theis the right dept to call?...hmmm...noa2 for dec 30 has ben approved & we r on jan 23 noa1..now i'm sooo torn!hahaha!thanks so much.
