Hi fellow VJ friends, need some input here on the visa my wife just received. She got her CR-1 visa delivered today and is cleared for travel to the US, but as we checked the data for accuracy it had an annotation on it of 221G**. Now during my wife's medical she was told to take her medical records from her doctor for her thyroid and OB/GYN with her to POE to present them to Immigration Officer there. I am assuming this is possibly to instruct her that she will need additional shots stateside since she was on medication during her medical at St. Luke. She only received MMR and 1 other shot at the medical. Am I interpreting this correctly? I know we will find out at POE but was hoping someone here has had a similar experience.

Oh Yes VISA ON HAND LOL!!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif

Hi! i dont know the answer for your question but i'm just curious about something...

maybe this is a stupid question.. hehe..

How does a visa look like? Is it attached in one of the pages of your passport or is it a paper from USEM indicating that the person named in that document is okay to travel to the US?....

and one more question....

When you received your visa, does it have other documents with it? like the documents that they took before? :star:

The visa in the passport is similar to the Bio page of the passport and is part of the passport(one of the pages) when you get it back. As far as documents included in the package we don't know because we can't open the envelope that is done at POE. but the outside has a coversheet attached to the yellow envelope that has all the data for crosschecking to make sure it is correct. You can't remove that letter either. In addition there was an instruction letter loose in the Air 21 package explaining not to open the envelope or remove the cover letter and some other warnings. And also was of course the passport in a clear plastic which you can open and remove the passport from. We just resealed that after we took out the passport so it would protect the yellow envelope. If you open the clear plastic carefully you can then reseal it, so don't get too excited like it is Christmas gift hehehehe!

That's an annotation that a visa was granted based on marriage to a USC (family based visa on CR-1) and need to remove the condition of residency 90 days before the expiration date that appears in the green card (I can't remember the exact description). Your wife will received her green card by mail around 2-4 weeks after POE in the US. Vaccination record is not a requirement in removing the condition on residency.

I was curious about that too when I received my visa; I looked over the INS website and read and read about US immigration laws.

Congratulations on your approval. Have a safe and happy trip! :)

Never ever say never
