Hello all, i am new to this site and trying to find out as much information as possible before my fiance and i start the K1 visa process in June. Now, did you all go with a lawyer or have you done this process on your own? Looking over it i think i could do it alone but just wanted to get views on what to do, id really rather save the money and spend it on the visa than pay a lawyer.

To me if you are ADD and dyslexic as i am, then use a lawyer. The forms to me can be confusing on where you

put who's name. And they don't make sense. i do think it makes a difference in time. i started the beginning of March.

And was approved shortly after, and my wife will get her interview in May. i have seen others here waiting for more than a year,

and usually for many months. i used usavisanow.com, i was chgarged a total of $500. for the whole process. i am not sure if they can help you though. It can be frustrating if you you do it yourself and fill out the form incorrectly and have to do over.

i am not advertising just glad i used the lawyer from some of the stories here.
