*If* homosexuality was really an *illness* that *needed* curing and *if* that cure had been found it would be a very sad day for us ladies, since I personally think every woman should have a male gay friend - I have found the advice from my friend to be a lifesaver in so many instances already!

you should start a business, rent-a-gay-friend.com

Nah, I want him all for myself!

Now, if I could only get my husband to take advice from him, also...

the current teaching in psychology is that the therapist's role is to help the client reconcile their actions with their cognitive schema, provided that the actions pose no immediate threat to the client or those around him/her. therapists are taught to be non-judgemental in their efforts to reduce conflict within the client.

feelings of guilt or remorse about homosexual urges or practices within a client signal a conflict between the urges/practices and the schema. in such cases the therapist may choose to work with the schema, or the urges/practices, depending on which would more readily bring the schema and the lifestyle into synch. this choice would be made on a case by case basis, in the interest of reducing the axis 3 presentation of the client.

I really think you have the hang of this Mr Shooter, when are you opening your clinic?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
