Hi all. I got a recent NBI clearance and police clearance this year but sent it to my husband in the US. He sent them to the NVC with the DS230 or 3230. I hope somebody could answer my questions.

1. I only sent my husband the upper half of the NBI clearance (the one on the yellow paper). What was left of me was the other half with 'personal copy' signed on it but it does says 'for travel to the US'. Can i make use of this one or should I apply for another copy?

2. I lived all my life in Metro Manila but different cities. I lived in Manila, Quzon City and Caloocan City. Do I need to get police clearance from each city, too? Currently, I am working in the province and lives in the province, too. I just started working here last January but I did not inform the NVC anymore that i transferred here. This is because my permanent address is still in Caloocan City and I go home after every one to three weeks. Do I need to obtain a police clearance here in the province, too. This is only my 3rd month of working here.

Thank you very much!

I think you can use that one.. as long as it's for 'international' NBI not 'domestic'.. i'm just confused about the color.. Diba kapag yellow 'domestic' yun? sakin kasi 'green' eh.

I got my NBI Clearance the other day and the color is green. The Police Clearance is only for the other countries you stayed for more than 6 months. You said, you stayed all your life in Manila, then no need to get a Police Clearance.

I only sent half of my NBI and kept the personal copy. I ordered 2 copies though just in case they need a copy during the interview. I guess the personal copy is just fine but if you want to make sure secure a 2nd copy before your interview.

With regards to the police clearance, I think they are referring to the police clearance from places abroad that you lived for at least 6 months. Our local police clearance is just optional...what matters to them is your NBI.

Goodluck!

For the NBI, if it states : FOR TRAVEL TO THE US, then you should be ok.

You just need one for the Police clearance. Good luck!
