Hey dont worry.. Our application lasted 1 year and 6 months but I and my husband were able to fight the sadness and loneliness this whole waiting time has given us. We felt disheartened many times also.. now we got our time! I'm pretty sure you will get yours this year too  ... extend your patience.. When the application is put under administrative processing (AP), there's really no other choice but to wait. some have waited 3 months, some 2 , some for just 2 or 3 weeks!.. Think positive..

thank you so much for that encouragement.im just so tired of waiting.i just dont understand why it takes forever for few cases like mine when others here rejoicing because of their smooth sailing petitions and finding about that is hurting me even more.i dont think i can wait for another 2, 3 months. i will already lose the one person i want to share my life with by then.

i'm sorry to hear that. Hey it happened to me too. If you look at my timeline there is a big gap after being approved before transferred to NVC. I even received 2 approval notice but different dates. What happened was.. instead of filing it to be transferred to NVC they filed it as their own record. It got stuck there for 3 months! I know how you feel. Keep calling NVC coz that might be the case. DO you know the NVC manager or director's number? I think it was posted here.

Im sorry to hear that it happened to you especially after a long wait at the service center :(

We also took over 8 months just for an approval only to get stuck at NVC in AP.

The difference in this step of the process is that it IS predictable...its not like the never ending wait at the service center. You will get out around 50 days give or take a few.

See this thread. there are alot of people who are in your situation or have already gone through it. They are a very supportive group (L)

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2768027

We got out after 51 days. there is an end (F)

take care and use this time to gather more evidence for the interview :) This AP at NVC is completely random and its just a sad thing that our files were one of the "lucky" ones.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I feel for you.. In my case i dont think it's a smooth sailing petition.. but we have TRUE love and that's what keep us going. your sweetheart should have 'that' for you too. If you REALLY love somebody, the 2 or 3 months wait is nothing! Now is the perfect time for you to see if your sweetheart really loves you.. if he really does, he WILL WAIT!. ;)

One thing is for sure tata78, most problems and worries are temporary. They wont stay problems and worries forever. You'll get new problems and worries in the future but the problems and worries you have right now will SURELY end. One of these days the NVC will get tired looking at your papers there  and will decide to just complete it and send them to USEM.. :star: .. try to cheer up.. dont think about it too much.. get busy while waiting!

they actually gave me a case number.what does that mean?does that make a difference at all?

Does your case number starts with MNL?

you can use that case number to call NVC as often as you like and ask if you are still in AP. I started calling everyday after the 40th or so day lol
