It may or may not be an official Sanctuary city, but anyone who has been through there (as I have many times) sees it as a depression place.

One of my good friends from the Marines is from there, I have thought about trying to look him up but with a last name like Sanchez .... I guess it would be very difficult to locate him.

Is this comment somewhat related to the sactuary city article? I mean there is a lot of US citizens and Permanent Residents whose last name is Sanchez, I still don't see the relation between your comment and the article.

El Paso is 80% hispanic, it's not rocket science to realize that there are a lot of US Citizens and PRs with Sanchez as their last name.

What do you think of West Charlotte? not a pretty place to live in huh? maybe it's also full of illegal immigrants :o

Maybe you should try Tryon/Sugar Creek

According to the 2006 United States Census Bureau population estimates, the El Paso metropolitan area had a population of 736,310.[26] As of December 3, 2007, El Paso is ranked the second safest city in the US with a population greater than 500,000.[27]

I guess the majority of those illegal aliens are law abiding illegal residents :o shockling isn't it? no so true for some parts of Charlotte. Even if as Danno says El Paso is a disaster area, it seems we have a low crime rate. Doesn't make sense huh?
