interveiw done... no word from embassy

My husband had his interview on January 12th. The only tid it we can get from the embassy is "Administrative Processing". Now I realize that they do have to do, what ever it is they do, but why oh why do they have to drag their feet about it? We've done everything required of us, and still they twist the knife a little more each day they ignore us.

I've contacted my Congress people, and they've "looked in" but all they hear is, "Administrative Processing" Where since the interview our expected visa approval has gone from the next day, to "one to two weeks", to "four to eight weeks", to "90 days", and now "150 days or more".

I'm just a little confused why it would take them so long to deal with this one case. I know they have other cases to look at as well, but why would others finished after ours go through while ours starts growing cob webs?

They say its part of the "background check" but hasn't a background check been going on this whole time? and why would it take months and months for a background check? I would think, one employee, working for a week on this (at most) would be able to find all there is to find. Again, i know there are other cases, but why pass by ours in what feels like (to me anyways) total disregaurd?

Can anyone enlighten me? Maybe give me a little hope? I haven't seen my husband in sooooo long!
