I-130 sent to California Service Center

HI Guys,

My husband and I submitted our I-130 to the California Service Center last March 12 of this year. We have not heard anything from them yet.. I wonder if we made a mistake coz we didnt submit it to Chicago? If that is the case, are they going to send us back again our papers do we can submit it it to the correct agency?

Please help. Thank you.

Where to File :

All petitioners filing stand-alone Form I-130 must submit their petitions to the Chicago Lockbox instead of a USCIS Service Center. Form I-130 petitions filed with the Chicago Lockbox will be routed to, and adjudicated at, the appropriate USCIS Service Center. This routing will be based on the petitioner’s place of residence in the United States.

Important: Any Form I-130 filed at an incorrect location will be rejected.

You may get get the petiton back or they may forward it elsewhere.

Pretty obvious where you were supposed to send the petition.

hey ya..=) same boat..we submitted the i-130 for ir2 petition of our daughter since they cant release for the 2nd time my daughters CRBA so rather than waiting we sent it in with a longer process..we overnighted it via usps was received by v.bustamante the following day MAR12- SENT MAR13-2PM RECEIVED BY CHICAGO LOCKBOX..but still waiting for noa2.. have to wait i guess 7-21 business days from the day they received it.
