Hello All,

I am filling an N-400 for my wife. She has been in the US for more than 3 years now.

I have a question about the 6 months rule. She has lived in the US for 18 months out of the 3 years. But she took 2 different trips outside of the US. One was for 24 days and the other for 142 days. Both trips were under 6 months obviously but if you combine them they are a little over 6 months. Would this matter or their 6 month rule applies to a one continues trip for 6 months or longer. Please let me know if anyone has run into this. Thank you.

Her each trips were shorter than 6 months.. your wife is fine..nothing to worry
