Anyone that experience K-2 process, do we need to file I-130 also? So its not gonna be a flat rate of 600? I-130 is 355 Does that means that we have to pay 955?

Any help is appreciated.. thank you...

k-2 only needs an i-485... $600 if filed with the k-1 or $930 if not (assumes under the age of 14)

YMMV

Yeah we don't know why USCIS is saying that knowing we are K1 and K2 for my 4 year old son. Yes we are filing together. Does anyone know why they would say that or has anyone ever had to file an I130 for a child already here in the US?

Thanks again

If you were K3/K4 you would have to have a I-130 on record for each of you. Maybe they are confused.

Best to make a Infopass and see what's happening.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

I agree it sounded like they told us the wrong info for our case. My husband says an I130 is starting over for our son.

We also agree that an Infopass is required to be sure, we wish to have it ready to send by next week.

Thanks again!
