Hi everyone! Just checked the latest update on our case at NVC....AVR said that the documents are already forwarded to US embassy in Manila as of March 6, 2009. I tried to track it through DHL....and here is our tracking number.....9136858861. To those who are scheduled for April Interview, our documents are almost there!

Best of luck to everybody!!!

Hi MMW. Sorry, I have more questions to you, forgive me for following you in whichever thread you go to. We have very similar timelines, that is why. My husband called NVC and was told that my interview date will be on April 28. Could you please help clarify on these things that confuse me?

1. Do I need to track the papers as they send them to he USEM? If yes, what for?

2. Is the interview date given to us by the NVC final already or do we have to call the USEM here to confirm?

3. I will be coming to the USEM from the province t. DO you know what is the least allowable time that the medical examination be completed before the interview? We are planning to have my medical exam on April 23, that is 4 days before the interview. This is so that I can just spend for one flight in going to MAnila for both the medical and the interview.

4. This is just to confirm what I read in the past, can I just walk in at the SLEC for medical exam without prior appointment?

Thank you very much in advance to your reply.

To all the rest of you you are reading my post, God bless all of you in your inteview!

how to know that your papers are already forwarded to USEM? Do we have the call the NVC?

thank you

Yes...you can call the NVC to find out if your file has been sent to the USEM. Then you can call the USEM and check to see if your file has arrived there and has been entered into their system.

Good luck on your visa journey!

for question 1 no you dont have to track it i just found out because club got the tracking number andours was on same day as theirs. you find that out from AVR or operator we heard it on AVR.

2. Yes the date given by NVC is your date.

3.most people say give it at least 7 days from medical to interview so that it will be there for the interview and you wont have to wait on approval after because medical documents didn't arrive in time.

4.Yes you can just walk in.

Timeline

Hi all,

I received notification from NVC that our paperwork was being forwarded to USEM. The notice was dated Feb. 20, 2009. It assigned an MNL case number. Since then I have contacted the USEM at the 888 number as recently as 9:00 am Monday March 9 MNCL time, and they have not received anything. Should I be worried yet? I am going to call NVC today to see if I can get a tracking number.

Some questions:

1. Since I filed the original petition, my fiancee's address has changed. Is this a problem or can I still go ahead and schedule her USE interview appointment?

2. I was told by St. Lukes that the medical results are good for 6 months. Does she need to have the interview already scheduled before she can go to St. Lukes? I'd like to get St. Lukes out of the way as soon as possible so as to make sure that the results are at the USE in time for her interview.

3. Since this will be an overnight trip for the St. Lukes portion at least, can someone recommend a reasonably priced, clean, secure hotel or pension close to St. Lukes? I've used Swagman before but it's a bit pricy and I'd like something a little closer say on Mabini or Del Pilar, or even on Bocobo. THe closer the better.

4. Since the original I-129F was submitted along with a lot of supporting items to prove a bona fide relationship (pictures, passport stamps, phone bills, WU wire transfers, emails, etc) does she need to bring with her to the interview to prove to the examiner that we have a bona fide relationship? Wouldn't this be redundant? If so please let me know since I will be sending her a package in the next week or so.

5. St. Lukes told me that no appointment is necessary. This is in fact still the case I assume?

Thanks in advance for any replies,

I'm getting more nervous as the process moves forward....

Tonello
