Hello everyone. Me and my fiancee are kind of confused about this letter from the employer. He is working for wallgreens and the way they do the conformation about an employment is trough a web site where you punch the SSN and the employer code and you can see all his information (full-time employee, current salary, income for the last years and etc.) So my question is should I just give this info to the consular and they check for themselves or his manager has to sign some kind of form. If that's so is there an example form or it is just free text and then wet signature from the manager?

we also have another question about the tax returns. Should he just called IRS and ask them for transcripts for the past 2 years?

Thank you very much

I worked for Walgreens for 21 years, all over the US and at the corporate headquarters and can walk into Corky Walgreens office and say "Let's not put up with this joint anymore, let's go fishing" and I promise you he would. Walgreens, as huge as they are, has all sorts of corporate policies in affect.

Best bet is for your fiance to write the letter him/herself. Take it to the district office for their district, best to tell the store manager you are doing this and get the district manager to sign it. Explain the situation and say you need something more than the usual corparate pablum.

If that doesn't work, stop worrying. An employment letter is not necessary. Attach last years return and w-2s, attach checkstubs to date and you are good to go.

You don't need tax transcripts if he has normal employment (not self employed) copies of what you sent plus the attached w-2s are all you need.

Sorry, didn't answer all the question...

The letter is a freestyle effort, something to the effect of....

This is to verify that ________________ is employed by Walgreens in the position of __________________ and earns a (salary/wage) of_______________ per (hr., month, year). This is a (permanent/temporary) position and is (full time/part time). He/she has been employed with this company since __________

That's about it.
