I also used Saunders when I had my review, and I highly recommend it. I also availed of the NCSBN review online and this was very helpful as their questions were very similar to the NCLEX questions I got.

For those who are still in the Philippines who have enough time to enroll in a review center, you may try Universal Review Center (URC), they have high passing rate and their fee is not that expensive. I just want to make clear though that I am not connected to them but I just want to be of help to those who are planning to take NCLEX.

I agree that local board is harder in such a way that you do not know what kind of questions might come out. Unlike with NCLEX, as long as you know the ideal set up, you know how to answer the question.

I find NCSBN review online cheaper than the Kaplan qbank, but which is better between than the two in terms of content and quality? If I can get the cheaper one with good content and quality, why patronize the expensive one.

Anybody who has an idea of this, share your thoughts please.

I think the local board is harder 'coz when I took it research was spread in all other 5 test areas. My classmates who took the exam later agreed with me, and more that they incorporated Tagalog questions.

Used Kaplan Review for 3 months but had to postpone my exam coz i needed to leave the country ASAP for my job. Returned to the Phil to take the exam which i could have taken in London. Did some self review using just Kaplan books, answered at least 5o qs a day. Took the exam and stopped at 75! passed!!!!! i noticed the questions became more difficult (a good sign) never had computations nor SATA.got alot of the dreaded pharma hahaha and alot of prioritization and standard precautions. so be ready with all the topics. stay optimistic and get a good night's rest before the exam day!

God bless!
