The latest plane crashees are on the small island, by the Hydra station. Caesar was going through papers in Ben's old office, including a map of where the Hydra is located. So, yes, the place the plane landed IS the runway that Kate & Sawyer were building.

What is also apparent is that they ARE in another time than Kate, Hurley and Jack. Ben (and Locke) is with the plane crashees while Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sawyer et al are in 1974. Obviously Ben knows what is going on, as he was the one who arranged to have the runway built...

We are yet to see Sayid.

And I hope Sawyer stays with Juliet - she's one of my favourite characters. Kate is just a selfish spoiled brat.

Actually they're in 1977, 1974 is when Sawyer and crew arrived at the Dharma, then 3 years passed.

Just had another thought- does anyone remember Ben's infatuation with Juliet, and the claims by the Others that "you look just like her" plus the portrait on Ben's wall of a woman looking just like Juliet. Thoughts were, at the time, that it was his mother.

I think it actually WAS Juliet. Cause Ben should be due on the island very soon as a young boy and maybe Juliet befriends Ben hoping it'll help not turn him into the person he is today.

Yes, we've been discussing that in my LOST forums as well. According to people's timelines Ben should be in the island around the time they are now, and most likely met Juliet as a child, and has since been infatuated with her.

She was not really his daughter, he kidnapped her when she was a baby and raised her as his own.

I was actually expecting Sayid to kill young Ben...from the previews, it was fairly obvious he was going to shoot Ben, but the older version is still on the other island, unless he is a really strong swimmer or found a boat....
