dear all,

first and foremost, I would like to praise GOD for making everything possible for me! all the while i thought i won't be able to make it since my fiance didn't reach the minimum poverty guideline. besides, i wasn't able to translate my latest french police certificate. LO AND BEHOLD, I PASSED THE INTERVIEW this morning!!! I think this is my way of sharing how GREAT the LORD is. With this I give all the praises and glory to HIM!

Secondly, I would like to thank all the people who had given me so much encouragement, information, advises and suggestions in this forum (special mention to roy, yodrak, uling, et. al)

Thank you so much and I hope that all of us will be in God's hands.

I can do all things through CHRIST which strengthens me! - Philippians 4:13

Congratulations tamara! God bless!

Ok while we are on the subject. Sheryl has a problem with her BC. Imagine that. Her name is spelled correctly. Her Dad's name was mispelled when she was born and the LR crossed through his name and hand corrected it. We have certified letters from the LR stating that this was done in good faith yada yada. She went to NSO in Cagayan De Oro. She asked for a correction. They said they would process it and to check back in about 2 weeks since they would send the request to NSO Manila. She checked back and was told that NSO saw no need to correct it since it was not her name that was mispelled and that the hand corrected copy is the official record with NSO. Furthermore we included a copy of her BC in the petition we sent to USCIS along with the certified letters from the LR. I'm guessing at this point we just go with the one she has and hope for the best. But I would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

DeaniWait, I agree with NSO that there is no need to correct your fiancee’s BC since it's not her name that needs correction. A change in her BC now would appear suspicious to the embassy and could cause AR. The father’s misspelled name is not important to the embassy at this point in time. I would go with the BC that you have now.

My case is different... my BC had clerical error in the date.. I applied for late registration last jan 10, 2006, but they typed it wrong instead of jan 10, 2006. they typed it jan 10, 2005... but now it is corrected already, 6 was hand wriitten and in security paper by NSO.. To all VJ member ...What Did you think is this may cause a problem during my interview and put me in AR? you comments and suggestion will be highly appreciated!!! God Bless!

A hand-written correction is part of your BC so that usually does not raise a red flag but late registration (especially very late registration) raises a red flag. Make sure you have your baptismal certificate, school transcripts, diploma, or photos of you growing up. Embassy may or may not ask for them but keep them handy at interview. If you are lucky, you may breeze through interview without consul questioning your BC.

yes I have my baptismal cert now, high school permanent record and diploma

Congratz Tam!!! I am so happy for you. Now all we have to do is wait for the embassy to release our visa's to Delbros :clock: Its hard to believe that the results of 7 months of waiting and more than a year in planning can all be determined in a 5 minute interview.

Good luck FMerz!!!! Im sure you will do great

Congratz to everyone who got new appointments in January!!!! One step closer

Guys/Gals don't know to say this. Im still teary but we got an interview date on JANUARY 18,2007. @7:30 AM. Please update my timeline..thank you. and thanks for the prayers.

Oh, that's a 764!

Aaawwww im sorry but we didn't do anything or any request for expidite. They said the packet was sent friday philippine time. I just wonder how long its going to get to my fiance. She is in manila so I think it's going to get there soon.

For these late additions to the appointment schedule, USE used DHL to send packet to Lilia. Her's ended up in Cebu and DHL called her last Friday. Still no word from DHL as to where it is. She has not received it. We know they have correct address because pre-interview letter arrived fine from USE. DHL is the culprit in our case. We are ready, packet or no packet.
