Manila Embassy Interview

APPROVED!! my wife had her appointment at 6:30, she said she was out of the embassy by 9:30. she also said the pre-interviewer was very nice and polite as was the CO. he looked at pictures only, asked few questions and said thank you ma'am u r approved!! :backflip: :somersault: :tumbling: good luck mike and milah jean and mike and lorna on ur cr-1's, and to everybody else on ur upcoming interviews. CONGRATS BERNIE AND SHERWIN!!!! Thanks also for the encouragement for our interview. We are having serious text messaging problems now. Since arriving in Manila on Tuesday her messages are not reaching me, but mine are reaching her. Don't know why. We spoke very late last night. She should be at the Bayview now. I'll give her a quick call from the office later today for a last second pep talk. Yep, this very agonizing wait is nearly over. By evening today she'll be in the hot seat, and I'll be at my church. I can only hope and pray for an approval for us. Tonite we'll know...wow...the big day has arrived.

The NVC issued us a MNL number and has forwarded our petition to the US Embassy in Manila on March 7^th.

My question is how can I track our petition's process?

What are anyone's thoughts on our projected timeline?

Also, if I wish to be there for the interview and our flight back to US, how many days should I plan on being in the Philippines?

Finally, what would be the best way to purchase her flight back to US?

I do not mean to be presumptuous of our approval; I am only looking forward and thinking of our options.

To track whether the embassy received it you can call the embassy at (63-2) 528-6300 X5184, have your case number ready and call early Manila time between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. No other tracking at this point.

Interviews are running approx. 4 months from the time Manila gets your file.

Delivery times for visas depend on what area of the Phils our fiancee is in anywhere from a few days to 10 days.

I've already purchased Sheryl's ticket to the US. If by some chance we get delayed by AR I will just pay the change ticket fee. I'm had to try and coordinate her flying home with me since I will be there for her interview.

Why shouldn't you make a presumption of an approval?? If you are both legally free to marry and still intend to get married within 90 days right? If so there is no reason you should not get her visa.

Michael, we were having tthe exact same problem with the phones, her texts were not getting here. I don't know if it is fixed yet, but this has been going on for more than a week now. She is back home so we are msn and dont do any texting now.
