I just checked the US Embassy site and notice that there is no link for checking the visa appointment schedule anymore. And also the downloadable forms are gone. So I think our only means of monitoring the appointment is through phone.

hi RiggerAF, for the VISA Interview Appointments try this http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp

and for the downloadble forms, if you meant the DS-156, try this http://evisaforms.state.gov/

hope it helps

You are very helpful thanks....

:protest: PW, it is not that those of us in AR did not have our documents ready it is that the consul wanted to verify one of our documents with the nso. Every time I see someone post like this I just cringe. A document check can and will happen randomly to cases. In talking to the embassy every day Lorrain admitted to me that the embassy lost some paperwork they ordered before our interview which leaves me scratching my head. They tell us to gather up cenomars, bc, mc, nbi but then they go ahead and order duplicates to check and throw people into AR and a lot of times they don't order up duplicates until after the embassy. They batch those requests which can take 4 to 6 weeks. A bit of advice, if your fiance/wife gets AR have her ask if she can carry a copy from NSO to the embassy, this may take time off of a document review related AR.

cybernutguy, I hate to say this but I am offended by your comment. If you read my post carefuly, never did I say that those in AR were not ready with their documents. And I quote my actual post:

Take note of the reasons for AR ~ birth certificate, Cenomar, divorce decree ~ so let us make sure our documents are in order.

I am sure that all of us spent many months and hours preparing and poring over our documents. But regardless, we all know that even if everything is in order, the embassy can still put anybody in AR. However, the chance of being put in AR "may" be minimized if documents are in order (e.g. they are current, they are NSO-issued, annulment decrees are certified true copies with embossed seal and not just photocopies, etc. etc.). We've heard of ladies appearing for their interview without photos attached to their visa applications and without the I-134. So what is wrong about reminding people to make sure that their documents are in order that it makes you cringe?

I understood PW.

I agree. I was wondering WHEN we should start freaking-out that the visa has not released from embassy yet. Due to this info, I still have at least two-days before I should start spending a zillion dollars to call the embassy and talk to people who can't give me an answer.

I called the Philippine Consulate (PC) in Los Angeles, California and they have no idea how to update my Baby's Passport/Visa with her married name. We're getting married next Friday. The PC recommended that I call the USE (yes.. in Manila). Who's on first? No, third base... LOL!

Look on the Philippino US website for downloadable forms. You will need to complete the notice of marriage and the request to ammend passport. Lots of requirement for a stamp and some hand written notes in the passport to reflect her new name.

Just a data point for you... Our interview was on Monday 4th. The passport was released about noon yesterday. Delbros site shows it as out for deliver today. (I am not celebrating until I read the visa inside the passport).

Hopefully yours will be released soon... as you probablhy know, the Delbros site claims the embassy can take 5 to 7 days to release and I'd assume those are working days...

That time-frame matches the information posted on the US embasy web page. Hope not that long since airline prices rise substantially after Dec. 15.
