755,000 acres of irrigated farmland .That is a lot of fruit and vegetables.Get ready for a large increase in price if water is used for the swimming pools instead of ag.

And it all comes from the Colorado River, some odd 32 million people depend on it. Tell you what you Californians, just come to Central WI and you can take all the snow you want. Just got another 5" today after 5" yesterday, sick of shoveling it.

It's a stranded asset. Ah! Location, location, location.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

Not true. California gets very little of its water from the Colorado River. The largest single source of water comes from the snow pack in the Sierras.

The ones to whom federal water SHOULD be cut are those with private outdoor pools (lots of those in CA)--cutting water to farms means cutting their production, ergo state's revenues.

The private outdoor pool on the other hand really wastes water.

Probably true, but how do you do that seeing as there are no seperate water supplies specifically for pools. You can't shut off water to a house just because they have a pool.
Not quite true. Metering water usage of urban homes can give a good indication.
