Where's Dillon :clock:

I hope to send copies of Dr. Ian's 4 day diet today for those who are interested. Yesterday was my first fully day back in the office...the copier was down. I finally made copies this morning now our scanner is broken  cheap equipment.

Hello everyone. Aren't we happy it's Friday afternoon!

Have any of you heard of men in Jamaica wearing engagement rings? Steven asked me for one because people kept asking to see his ring. I think this is because he refers to me as his wife instead of fiancee, but someone else mentioned to me that their fiance asked for an engagement ring, too, so I'm wondering if this is common there.

Never heard of that, Nat - DJ is very traditional about that - he wouldn't officially propose till he had a ring for me, and got mad if I put a ring on that finger - He wears rings, but says the only one to go on that finger is his wedding ring.

Her friend is hysterical with the cameras - she had two little quick snap ones (not her prof. cameras) and she was just snapping snapping snapping - can't wait till she gets back and we can see them all!

The "engagement" ring I ended up getting was actually a wedding ring.

I asked him what he plans to do when we exchange wedding rings & he said move the engagement one to the other hand.

My guy said the same thing. Are we the only two with guys who want engagement rings?

:ot: Has anyone else noticed how many Obama Haters there are on VJ? I have been reading posts previously and bit my tounge but now they are at him about his "special olympic" comment last night on Jay Leno. One would think that people on VJ bringing people - many times people who are going to be seen as minorities in this country, will appreciate what Obama will bring to the table! I wanna just snatch a few of them!! OMG.....making my pressure rise!!!

Ok, thanks for letting me vent

it's amazing how petty people can be jamerican. even after clarifying his statement it's still not good enough. they forget that obama is not infallible and human like all of us. they put so much high expectation on the man that not even moses could have satisfy them. the interview was 45 minutes or so long and all they can take from it was the ""special olympics"" comment. it only goes to show that even if he parts the red sea that still wouldn't have been enough for them.

oh by the way. congrat dillon!!

Ain't that the truth? People are always gonna focus on the negative.

Nat, I haven't heard it being any kind of tradition but what do I know? I know my honey was flaunting the ring I brought for him though....it was funny cause it only fit his pinky! Just like the ring he got me....only fit my pinky! So between us, we have some BIG fingers and now we both have engagement pinky rings! However, I wouldn't have gone out and bought him a ring. I just happened to find this ring when I was a child and I've had it ever since. Finally decided to give it to someone special.

LOL - they are all little cameras - My pics are from a Nikon Coolpix. I have a Nikon DSLR, but I got tired of carrying all the lenses, charger, etc... so I bought the Coolpix back in Sept - it takes great shots.

You see from my pics how wide my engagement ring is - we talked about wedding rings - I want to find something similar to what I have, but only one row of the diamonds, maybe with a larger stone - DJ's ring will be similar to my engagement ring, but probably 4 rows - So I guess we are doing it kinda backwards, cause probably the thinner one should have come first. But reality is, it's perfect for me - cause I have some big bling rings, but I don't wear them all the time - and most of the rings that I wear often are flat to my finger.
