My wife is Japanese, and we had our first baby in November. She's an LPR (conditions removed) and I'm an American citizen. The baby is American because she was born here, but my wife wants her to have dual citizenship. Does anyone have any idea how we do that?

I don't know how to do that, but I suggest contacting your local Japanese consulate.

Your baby will have dual citizenship until the age of 18 (or 20? the legal age of adulthood in Japan), at which point she'll have to choose between the two, as Japan does not allow adults to have dual citizenship. Nihonjinron and all that...
