It seems there is no end to last minute hurdles in this process

Anyhoo, this is the last month before my Fiancees interview, and now her living arrangements are going away... forcing her to move in with her Mom in what will probably be the last 2 or 3 weeks of the K-1 process.

Has anyone else moved house during the process? My initial thoughts were to keep it quiet and just have her mail transferred... but then I realized that the Visa itself would be mailed to her residence once it was approved, and now I am thinking I should call the consulate when she moves. I dont want to cause any confusion or suspicion in the last weeks...

Any suggestions?

I know that in the UK when you have your interview and go and pay the courier you give them the address to send it to

I will get my one when I get it, fingers crossed to my work address

She can state her mothers address as long as when it delivered it can be signed for by anyone who has proof, so she could leave a credit card or somthing similar and anyone who has that at that address can sign for it

Thank you! I will just have her mail forwarded, and give them her Mom's address for delivery.

when your fiance receives packet 4 (which is a letter with interview date on it). It says on the letter that once the application is approved, the person may collect the visa within 3 working days. If they wish to have the visaed passport and accompanying visa package mailed to them, they should provide a self-addressed large (foolscap legal size) self addressed courier pack or registered envelope.

When i went for my interview i took a courier envelope with me with my address already filled out on the front, in which it was to be mailed. The lady at the embassy asked for it whilst sorting through my papers.

so it seems there is a choice of either picking the visa up oneself from the embassy or giving them a self addressed courier envelope at the interview.

The folks at the embassy are ever so nice and helpful!!. can't praise them enough! :)

By the way: your fiance won't miss the letter in packet 4. It is very bright pink!! :D
