Thank you all for you responces, I will take this information and see what I can do. Again thank you all for the help on the situation.

Stacey, I just wanted to say sorry about this. Its so stressful already. (F)

I had a 2 week battle to be covered on my husband's plan. We didn't add me when we got married within 60 days so they wouldn't add me until "open season" (sounds like hunting). I asked the HR person to provide in writing her reason for not adding me. She send me the information about adding a spouse.

So what we came up with was a "life changing event" which was no longer having insurance coverage. So Kathryn suggested printing off a copy from my provincial health care showing that leaving the province ends coverage. :wacko:

Perhaps ask for the reason in writing and under which clauses you can be added. Have a look through them and see if you can fit into some kind of exception.
