NOA2 to NVC

Hey,

I'm just curious about how long it takes for an approved I-129f to make it from the USCIS processing center (specifically California) to the NVC. I tried to call NVC a couple of times today to see if they have my petition but their automated system keeps hanging up on me because all the operators are busy. Just curious what happened in your experience. Thanks and good luck to all....

Try to call early in the morning or in the evening, they take calls until midnight. You can read my timeline in my signature and get an idea of how long it took me. It is so different with everyone. No rhyme or reason. Good luck.

I never called NVC.

I received a letter from NVC about 2 weeks after our case was approved. The letter said that the case would be forwarded to the embassy within the week. Packet 3 was received about 2 weeks after the letter. Looking at other people's timelines helped me estimate when things should arrive.

I know it is hard to wait, but calling is not going to make your case move any faster. If you don't hear anything from NVC after 2 weeks have passed, then you should probably call.
