Hello everyone... I just want to know if USCIS will return the original

documents that my fiance submitted? Especially his BC and Naturalization?

He is very much worried coz that's the only copy he has. Any possible

way of getting it back??

Thanks.

He should call and ask USCIS.

Didn;t he have the US PASSPORT?

He could have made the copy of the front page and sent it.

He'll need a Naturalization paper if he going to apply the PAssport at post office.

After your case is approved, all the info will be transferred tothe NVC.

when your case get there , He could call and ask if he could have his Naturalization paper back.

Hope this gave u some idea.

USCIS won't return anything. I gave Claudeth the originals for her interview but also made copies for her in case the embassy needed them. Whatever we turned in for any stage in the process, K-1, AOS or lifting conditions, nothing was ever returned to us.

It is better for him to have a photo copy of everything that she will submit .. the Consul will look for the original documents but will give it back to you. All the originals i submitted was returned to me cause i have photo copy of each document.

An original BC and his naturalization papers are necessary to get a passport, and those are returned.

It is not necessary to send originals when he files your petition, unless specifically requested by instructions, or RFE. All documents sent to the USCIS not specifically requested will not be returned. You can request new documents from the authority that issues his birth certifacate, and new proof of naturalization from the USCIS. The documents he submitted with stay with your packet. Perhaps one of the adjuditing officers along the way could hand back his documents, but I doubt it.

You will not receive copies of anything already submitted from the USEM. They probably won't show the forms, or evidence, unless the Consular thinks you could clarify the information your husband provided. If possible, have your husband make copies of what he sent so that you can see what information the Consular already has. Many of the questions the Consular will ask will be based on the information already submitted, i.e., "What is his father's first name? Does he have any brothers and sisters? Who does he work for?"
