I liked him in Braveheart. "The problem with Scotland is that it's full of Scots."

Be seeing you, Number 6.

That was a real quote I think - though not the best one attributed to Edward I. He had a thing against the Scots and is alleged to have said (of the Scots) "a man does good business when he gets rid of a #######".

Was he also in 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E'? or was that someone else?

He was in Secret Agent (Danger Man - in the UK). The Prisoner was sort of a spin-off of that - at least that's how it was originally conceived, but McGoohan and George Markstein (the co-writer) had creative differences. McGoohan was the one who put the weird, abstract symbolism in there - and said that #6 and John Drake were different characters.

Man from UNCLE was Robert Vaughan and David McCallum.

Ah, McCallum who is currently doing one of those criminal investigation series.

I think I have seen Danger Man though, not in '64 but probably some kind of repeat at the end of the 60's.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

You're thinking either of David McCallum or Robert Vaughn.

Or maybe confoozling it with Patrick Macnee of "Avengers" (neither of the Patricks was ever in "Man from U.N.C.L.E.") who happens to have somewhat similar features?

I think McGoohan was offered the role of James Bond before Connery, but didn't want it as he thought that the character was too amoral.
