Unfortunately, it is my visa, and not the love of my life's. But, hey, at least we will be together for Valentines Day :innocent: Sadly, this is my first Valentines date in my 29 years on this earth, lol, but hey, all worth it. It is amazing all Americans usually need to get tourist visas to other countries, is to pay the amount of money it is required. No dealing with interviews, 221gs, etc. The whole process of me sending off the application, going through their visa outsourcing, to the Indian consulate, back to the outsourcing, and approval all took less than 6 days, including the closed days of the weekend!! I did make sure to put his name and address on my application as my Indian contact. Definitely planning on using that application as further relationship proof. Already discussed that we will be taking hundreds of pictures. Wish we could get married at this time, but alas, still waiting for our case to hopefully expire. Is it still true that California does not send NOID/NOIR letters for K1 visas? Does anyone know? :help:

The outsourcing on the Indian Visas is super fast - I got my 10 year visa in like 5 days...

I'm glad to hear you two will be together for Valentine's Day!

That is amazing, i was going to apply for the 5 year, but didn't know if they would allow it, and they said they don't give you a refund of the difference if they give you a lessor visa, so i played it safe, and only went for the 1 year. when i went last time, they didn't have the outsourcing, so my company had it expedited, and it still took 2 weeks, lol.

You can also apply for PIO (person of Indian origin) once you get married to your fiance. It is valid for 10 years.
