With the processing dates being so long has anyone been through a POE with an expired GC and NOA 1 for ROC?

Was it a hassle?

...Did the immigration agent at the border actually know what it all was?

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

NM....Got my answer! :D From what I understand - the GC and the NOA 1 ( which is an automatic one year extention of the GC ) is sufficent for border crossing.

I guess the immigration at the border "knowing what it all is", could be another matter, though. LOL That might be a ####### shoot.

Hi Tmma,

In answer to your question about border crossing with an expired green card and an extension letter while the I-751 is pending:

From my recent experience, of crossing the Canada/US land border, for the most part on both sides, it wasn't too much of a hassle. They did seem a bit confused about it at first, but once we explained it to them, they were ok with it. Just make sure that when you cross the border to bring your expired green card, extension letter, foreign passport, and other identification, and you're good to travel internationally.
