COMPLETE CASE to INTERVIEW DATE

For people that got their CR/IR-1 case completed at NVC at the end of this week: do you think we will be in time to get the interview date set by the end of next week? I saw many people who get their interview dates set, so I am wondering if we will have to wait until Feb. to get our interview date... That would be awful! :crying:

I hope next week they are still scheduling interviews!

Alternatively, what's the best way to proceed?

Can we email the consulate and ask to request the file or is it better to get the K-3 interview date (if one has it) set and THEN request to switch to CR/IR-1 and pull the file from NVC?
