I130 approval

I just received an email from USCIS stating that our I130 has been approved (after 5 months!)

I'm very happy and at the same time at a loss now because we're planning to do the K3 route ( we haven't even submitted I-129F yet). Can we still submit I129F if I130 has been approved? Just wondering because I'm sure my husband will ask me about it. I'm just overwhelmed and don't know what to do next!

Do NOT waste your time on I-129 (k3) , if I-130 is approved. As a matter fact it is better than I-129F and it will be less hassle in the long run. I-129F, providing you are married will be a I-129F (K3) but since you approved to I-130 you are good to go and no need to waste more papers, purpose of I-129 also to try to get your spouse to the states faster while waiting for I-130 approvals.
