hello vj members

my fiance is going to manila for her medical january 6th as a walk in, I advised her to take her notice she received from the embassy and the ds-156, question: will these be all the documents she will need for the medical? and also she will pay the $131 fee at the banco de oro, and once she is finished she will call to make an interview appointment! question #2 is she doing this in the correct order?

thank you all for the advice that I have received on previous posts and thanks in advance for any replys to this post!

You should get better responses in the Philippines forum.

just the embassy notice will be enough..she doesnt need to bring a ds 156..also the $131 is the visa fee and not for the medical..she needs to pay more or less $213 for the medical exam(last time i checked)..and dont forget to bring 3 2x2 photos...

And the passport as well. SLMCEC will forward the Philippine passport and US style passport pictures to the US Embassy after the medical exam.

Hi, there! Your fiance will need US EMBASSY Appointment Letter or NVC letter to show to the guard upon entering the St.Luke, then she should have Appointment Letter (appointment letter of interview date) a confirmation email stating the date of your interview in US Embassy, SLEC are so strict now with that paper . Last time I had medical applicant were asked for their confirmation letter for interview and they would tell you " why you had medical if you you haven`t got your interview date yet", since they will be needing it when to release your result for interview date. If instance you had medical for the first day and you haven`t show that in the first day they will let you in but be sure you have your confirmation for the 2nd day they will asks that letter for the releasing in US Counter.

Here is the link below from my medical experience last Dec. 18, 22, 2008
