ive read threads here that ask about shipping from US to the PI.

what about the other way around? has anyone ever tried shipping from PI to US?

how much did you pay?

and for how long did you wait?

do you know of any reliable companies?

DHL? 2go? LBC? or even fedex?

my bf's mom sends me boxes and pays around $80/box with no weight limit. just no oversized boxes.

and takes 3-4 months for the boxes from their doorstep to mine.

so i was wondering... what about shipping from the PI to the US?

WE shipped 5 balikbayan boxes from PI to US (Cebu to US)

It took 45 days (door to door delivery) Sea Freight

It cost us 2000 USD (very expensive)

we used LIBCAP as the agent here in Cebu.

omg. 2,000 dollars? for 5 boxes. that makes around 400 USD a piece.

he should have just sent the money and have you buy it here. no need to pay for mailing.

hi.. i was thinking.. if shipping from PI to US would cost that much (which is really too much), would bringing the boxes with u to plane and just paying the extra luggage cost less? Does anyone here know how much excess baggages cost?

i dont learn of my airline yet until i get on my interview next week. and the CFO.

after which, i can ask around regarding the payment for airline excess.

you can try manila forwarders.

or johnny air cargo.

i have yet to call them but so far they all sound good and legit.

i will be checking them out this week and will answer anyone who is curious how the shipping goes. just let me know.
