Hello - I am looking for comments on what would qualify as a USCIS error.

I filed a I485, I131 and I765 almost a year ago and a few months ago realized that I was getting some mail from USCIS but the requests for more information (medical) or notification of biometrics appointment was not printing my apartment number and was being returned undeliverable. As a result I have missed 2 biometrics appointments. I know that they have the correct address in their system as I received my receipt notice and information on any phone inquiries, etc. but somehow when they run the address for these particular "requests" my apartment number is left off (and it isn't just that it isn't showing through the envelope window, it is absent from the letter). I have sent a letter to the biometrics address explaining the issue and notifying of an address change as we have now moved and that should alleviate the address issues. But with the previous address issues, I'm wondering if those errors would be enough to expedite?

My application is at the Newark, NJ local office.

Thanks for your help,

K

Am not sure how you know the apt. number isn't printing if you've never received one of the letters but I'd recommend making an Info-Pass appointment to get in and talk to a person face to face. They should be able to get the ball rolling. InfoPass

Note/Reminder for others: It is always recommended to have your name on the inside of your mailbox where the mail carrier can see it.

I wasn't aware of InfoPass, so thank-you - I am going to look into that! Thanks!

To clarify, when I have seen the undeliverable message online I have called customer service and notified them that I did not receive. When they send the letter following up from the inquiry I get that cover letter and they have included the appointment notice where I can see that the apartment number is missing. I do have the name on the inside of the mailbox.
