I need all the expert's openion on the issue i am having . I have been convicted of a misdemeanor for selling counterfeit items. The case is still in the court our attorney is saying that i am getting misdemeanor with 3 years probation period. The attorney took a lot of money from us and can not get these charges dismissed or other lesser option. I have 10 year green card. I want to know if it is misdemeanor with 3 years probation what consequences i will be facing now or in the future. Would that hurt my green card ? What should I do in this matter.

Keep in mind you are a "Lawful Permanent Resident", breaking any law can cause loss of LPR status and deportation.

The bar on this has been set quite low.

I have seen articles about this being a problem if or when a person files for naturalization.

I would ask an immigration attorney. They would give you the best advise!! It might hurt your chances in naturalization, as that is one of the things it is based on is good moral character.Notice I said hurt, not denied. Time and distance usually clears up a lot of things. Keep your background clean and clear. Stop all the ####### your doing that you know is illegal or is considered illegal. You can never predict what the USCIS will do. I still recommend you contact a good immigration attorney. Don't lose hope, this is the US and there is always an appeals process. Good luck
